TIS THE SEASON

Flannel ruffle dress via Free People / Clutch via ZOIE / Rings via Back Stage

Having spent a lot of my time in the United States, I can tell you now, Im no stranger to Free People.

The festive season means party dresses, and this silk ruffled beauty jumped out at me as the perfect celebration piece.

Im not one to normally jump on red, but tis the season and all that jazz. My trusty stiletto heels, a textured clutch, some gold glitz and Im on my way.

Boyfriend jeans

Twitter followers would have already had a sneak peak at my latest purchases – these perfectly distressed jeans and gorgeous wool hat.

For me, the boyfriend jean is the perfect every-day denim option and these Billabong beauties, with colour-blocked detailing work a treat.

On a side note, I’m sad to say, that summer has well and truly passed here in Australia, with the Melbourne chill in full force.

Whilst I’m extremely envious of my friends in the northern hemisphere, who are gearing up for the warmer months, I’ve got a great excuse for a new winter wardrobe.

Cosy knits, more hats and riding boots are all on my list.

Dear friends,

From Louis Vuitton to 3.1 Phillip Lim, to Prada, pastels and lady-like tailoring have featured heavily on catwalks.

Here is my take on the trend, experimenting by colour blocking pastel hues, as well as texture in these gorgeous THIMBLE shorts.

There is something eternally feminine about pastels, so Im happy to see more and more designers picking them up.
